Tamar Sharp

Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer – BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, HCPC registered, MCSP, FitPro registered Level 3

Tamar qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2010 earning an honours degree at Bradford University.

Since graduating Tamar has worked within the NHS, private practice and in the sports sector. Her experience within all three fields has proved invaluable and Tamar’s wide range of skills enables her to deal effectively with MSK, Orthopaedic, Respiratory and Neurological conditions.

I previously worked as a professional ice skater, in shows such as Holiday on Ice and also in established shows in Monte Carlo and Portugal. One of the most memorable moments was during one of the shows my dress set alight and I was hosed down with a fire extinguisher! Ice Skating gives me freedom to express my creativity and connecting my body with movement, music and dance.

Since starting work at C-Physio in 2015 I have been linking with the instructors and skaters at Bradford Ice Rink and helping skaters to recover from injury and progress their performance levels with Pilates, physiotherapy, off-ice and injury education sessions.

Before qualifying as a Physiotherapist, I worked for 10 years as a Personal Trainer in large health clubs including Holmes Place and Fitness First in London and Leeds. This has helped me to motivate, inspire and achieve goals and targets more effectively which in turn has helped change people’s lives.

I have also worked with Amputees, stroke patients, adults with learning disabilities and elite athletes adapting exercises and programmes to suit the individual.

I’ve been involved in professional rugby working with a variety of teams including Morley Rugby Club, The Exiles (NZ & Australia Rugby Union Series) and at the 2015 Rugby World Cup with winners New Zealand. In 2017 I worked with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wembley NFL game. I am now focussing on helping patients in Bradford to achieve their health goals.
