Osteoarthritis of the hip
This condition causes stiffness and pain within the joint. It occurs due to inflammation and roughening of the joint and the surrounding soft tissue (capsule, muscles, tendons and ligaments), most commonly with ageing or previous injury. Physiotherapy to improve movement, reduce pain and control the inflammation of the joint can help to manage your symptoms.

Total Hip Replacement (THR)
You might have a THR to get rid of the pain associated with Joint Arthritis. The worn parts of the joint are replaced with metal or plastic components that simulate the joint surfaces. This surgery is generally successful, but you may need exercises and hands-on treatment to help you get the best result, to reduce swelling and promote the healing process in the short term, and improve movement, strength, balance and coordination in the long term.
