Improve Your Mood

Is your partner or a family member suffering whilst you’re going through the menopause? Are mood swings are having a negative effect on your relationships? Are you constantly worrying about everything that life throws at you?

Then help is at hand. Mood swings and anxiety are common symptoms during the menopause. And there are some treatments that will help you to manage your symptoms.

Meditation and time to focus on your mental health is an essential part of a programme to improve anxiety and mood swings.

But there are other treatments available that can boost the effects of the hours you spend and the hard work you put into improving your mental health.

Acupuncture has been shown to provide effective relief from anxiety, depression and mood swings. Your Physiotherapist will insert fine needles throughout your body to stimulate the brain’s natural processes of relaxation and releases chemicals that can improve mood and energy levels.

Keep Control of The Boardroom

If you’re a woman in a powerful role, you don’t want to be nipping out of meetings to manage your menopause symptoms.

You’ve worked hard to get to your position, and there is no need for the menopause to affect your ability to perform at the highest level.

So get control of the Boardroom by controlling your symptoms.

Understanding your Bladder Weakness is the first step towards making a positive change.

Once you understand why your bladder weakness is happening, you can take action to prevent and manage it.

With a discrete, easy to perform exercise routine, consistent application of the right exercises can help you to perform at the highest level without the fear of Bladder weakness or the reliance on a sanitary pad.

But if you’re suffering other menopause symptoms, such as hot flushes, anxiety or mood swings, your work life doesn’t have to suffer. Many of our patients find a combination of treatments the most effective way to manage their symptoms.

Common Physiotherapy treatments available for Menopause Relief include:

  • Advice
  • Reassurance
  • Education
  • Exercise Prescription
  • Clinical Pilates
  • Acupuncture
  • Biofeedback
  • Muscle Re-education

Stay Professional

In many areas of working life, professionalism and dignity are essential. Finding ways to maintain a professional appearance when hot flushes and bladder weakness attack out of the blue can be challenging.

But there are ways to maintain your professional appearance without the need for medications.

Supplements can help, but there are very few treatments that can get rid of your symptoms completely.

A Specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist can help you manage your symptoms more effectively with a range of pelvic exercises, advice, education and reassurance.

Acupuncture can also help to manage unwanted side effects including sleep disorders, hot flushes, anxiety and mood swings.

Every Assessment Counts – The Red Box Project

For every woman that struggles with Menopause symptoms, there are many more who struggle with their periods.

For many it is not the financial burden that prevents them from accessing the correct sanitary products. Public perception, peer pressure, challenging communication channels and a lack of education can all contribute to young women not being able to access appropriate, comfortable menstrual products.

The Red Box Project is a charity that supports women and helps them access free sanitary products to keep healthy and active.

The majority of products the Red Box Project receives are donated to Local Schools to help Girls stay at school and access essential education to help them achieve more and end Period Poverty.

One-For-One

At C-Physio, we want to support females at every stage of their lives.

So for every Women’s Health Assessment we undertake, we’ll donate 1 pack of Sanitary products to the Red Box Project.

And with a Red Box in each of our Clinics, we hope that spreading the message doesn’t stop with us. Donations of sanitary products can be made by anyone into a Red Box at the clinic and distributed to Local Schools.

We hope that by enabling young women access the right information, advice and resources at an early age, they will be better informed to look after their pelvic health as they grow into womanhood.
