Leanne Carter

Specialist Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor – BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP

Leanne holds an honours degree in physiotherapy from the University of East London and has been involved in caring for respiratory patients at a string of major hospitals including Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary.

She began working at C-Physio in 2010, bringing with her an expert understanding of respiratory physiotherapy. This enables her to help patients who are suffering from breathing complications originating from chest conditions.

During the COVID pandemic in 2020, Leanne returned to the hospital to deliver essential Intensive Care Physiotherapy support for patients suffering from acute COVID infections. She has since developed a specialty offering treatments for long COVID, particularly with regards to the recovery of exercise tolerance and breathing control.

As part of her role at C-Physio, Leanne also treats Musculoskeletal problems, and has completed her Acupuncture training to deliver acupuncture treatments for pain relief and support recovery.

She is also a trained Pilates instructor and can use Pilates to help manage your condition.
